This experience is for beginner fly fishermen/women. Your day will begin at 1pm with a presentation to include education on fly identification, bug life cycles, water reading skills, fly fishing equipment explanation, casting basics, and more. You will then practice casting on the lawn, with practical tips from your guide for effective casting. After that, you will enjoy a homecooked dinner with time for questions about what you’ve learned so far. After dinner, try out your casting on the trout-stocked pond, then head to the Kennebec River to try out your newly-found skills on the wild, native trout of the area. The presentation, hands-on teaching, stocked trout pond fishing, home cooked dinner, and evening guided fishing trip all included in the low rate of $600. You may also have all of this minus the dinner and guided evening float trip for $400. Prices are for 1 or 2 people.
