Maine Guided Black Bear Hunts

Maine is home to more black bears per square mile than anywhere else in the lower 48.

Here at Pine Grove Lodge, we maintain and bait a number of bear baits every year. We

maintain at least 3-1 bait to hunter ration as to give each person as good a chance as

possible of harvesting a bear. Our guides visit each bait site regularly for weeks prior to

the arrival of hunters in order to get the bears used to and comfortable around the baits.

Most of our sites have ground blinds for the hunters but some areas have ladder stands

which provide an elevated shooting position. Due to the limited number of bait sites, our

number of hunters is very limited and booking ahead is important. All meals, lodging,

transportation to the bait site, field dressing, and retrieval is included in our bear hunts.

Rate: $2,000 per person, includes 5 days hunting, 6 nights lodging, all meals, transportation to/from the hunting location, retrieval of your harvested bear.
